My goals:
I was responsible for developing an application that optimizes the preparation of steel materials for machine production.
Challenges I faced:
To complete the project, four application modules needed to be designed and developed. The first module, **Technical Drawings**, allowed users to upload engineering drawings of machine components based on a predefined template. The application could automatically read the documentation and extract all information required to complete the task. The second module enabled users to enter textual information regarding the materials required for the project. The third module consisted of a database of material profiles that could be selected from a list, allowing users to specify the quantity of material needed for production. The fourth and most critical module enabled users to import data from the previous three modules or enter the information manually. Its purpose was to identify the required material and determine the optimal arrangement of cut sections needed for production. This functionality automated the generation of cutting instructions and optimized material utilization by minimizing waste.
My critical skills:
It was necessary to clearly define the requirements and identify potential sources of errors and implementation risks.
My impact on the project:
My background in product design enabled me to better understand user requirements, anticipate challenges, and proactively address potential issues before they impacted the development process.
